Our story
A Maidstone cleaning company built on care for people and planet
Cleaning with Meaning is a growing business led by Maidstone local Kelly Moore. Begun in 2021, we now look after over 90 regular clients including homes, businesses, Airbnbs, HMOs and community venues such as scout huts and church halls, and most new clients find us through word of mouth.
We are a business built on passion for our planet. We help clients avoid harmful chemicals, recycle more and save money, with free advice and eco-audits as part of our service. We put people first too, as a flexible employer of parents, carers and people over 60, and we are working towards B Corp certification.

Our go-to recipe

- 1 cup water
- A few drops of essential oil
Combine in a reusable spray bottle and shake before each use. Great for kitchen counters, sinks and tiles (just skip it on marble or granite).
Sustainable tips & advice
Simple swaps for a greener home
Swap paper towels for reusable cloths
Old cotton t-shirts, bamboo cloths or microfibre towels can be washed and reused again and again.
Refill instead of rebuying
Take your empty bottles to a local refill station in and around Maidstone.
Natural scents all the way
Skip synthetic air fresheners and use lemon, lavender or eucalyptus oils.
